New RTC Members: I confirm that I am a current college woman studying a field related to technology or engineering and agree to the following rules:

    Community Rules:

No Outside Information Sharing: Any information, resource, event, opportunity, or the like, shared within this group either by RTC, a company partner or member, will remain in the group. NO outside sharing!

Be Kind and Courteous: We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness and respect is required.

No Hate Speech or Bullying: We want to make sure everyone feels safe in our house. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.

No Promotions or Spam: Sharing helpful information is encouraged but spam and irrelevant posts or links aren't allowed in this group. All posts should be supportive of RTC's mission of empowering women in tech.

Respect Everyone’s Privacy: Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What's shared in the group should stay in the group. ALWAYS!

    Engagement with RTC Company Partners:

Event Attendance: If you RSVP to attend an event, whether in-person or virtual, you are committing to attend. No-shows not only reflect poorly on you, but on the RTC community as a whole. When instances occur, RTC reserves the right to remove that student from attending future events.

Honoring Offers: RTC expects students and employers to honor commitments made during the recruiting process – specifically related to offers of employment for full-time or internships. Reneges (backing out of or not honoring an agreement that you have entered into) are breaches of our recruiting policies. When these happen, it causes damage to RTC’s relationship with companies and can affect future opportunities for other RTC women. When these instances occur, we will investigate the situation and determine the appropriate actions which could result in loss of recruiting privileges within RTC and even removal from the community.

    A Statement About Eligibility:
In order to ensure that RTC’s services and resources are focused on its mission, RTC researches applicants’ eligibility to ensure that the applicant is currently enrolled in a higher education institution and identifies as a woman. RTC acknowledges that some applicants may identify as non-binary, or may be in a period of questioning or transition. Although RTC can deny an applicant based on publicly available information, an applicant may appeal a denial by providing evidence of eligibility, for example by providing college records or documentation or a personal statement regarding gender identity which describes how the applicant is similarly positioned to applicants who identify as women.
